One family, one hillside
Domaine de Brévenaz was founded in 1921 in Dardagny, in the Mandement, deep in the Geneva countryside. Since then, the house, the cellar and the vineyards have stayed in the same family.
We are now in the fourth generation. The estate has 14 hectares of vines on gentle slopes facing the Jura.
Aline and Julien Vautrey
Aline Vautrey is in charge of the winemaking. She decides on the blends and follows every vat, from harvest to bottling.
Julien Vautrey looks after the vineyard: pruning in winter, canopy work in spring, and organising the harvest in autumn.
The vineyard
We grow five grape varieties: Chasselas, Chardonnay, Gamay, Gamaret and Pinot Noir. The whites are lively and precise; the reds have colour and structure.
The cellar
Beneath the house, the vaulted cellar holds our vats and barrels. The whites keep their freshness here; our most ambitious reds take the time they need in oak.
